    MBN is working with a global leading beverage business in search of a Data Governance Manager to join their team.

    The role requires balancing Global strategy within local operating company requirements. It also has a large scope with a small team which requires the effective use of external contractors/consultants to deliver value in the UK. 

     

    A key part of this role is communication across the UK group. This is across all levels and functions within the organization, from senior leaders to factory floor operators. This ensures that everyone understands what good data is, why it is important and what their role is.

     

    The role will add value through thought leadership and playing a key role in the implementation & change management of global data-driven transformation programs and ensuring that local transformation programs adhere to global data standards.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Lineage Management: These are core groups of the Global D&T Data Management team. It is the accountability of this role to ensure active participation of the UK in these groups, building a robust network with the global teams. The understanding, adaption, and adoption of the globally developed solutions (tooling, processes, roles, and content) is vital to the success of this role.

     

    • Global Transformation Programs: Play a key role in shaping and leading global data-driven transformation programs and ensuring the change management is successful in embedding new ways of working for data management.

     

    • Communication of Data Management: Communicating the global and UK strategy, plans, progress, and outcomes to the organisation is critical accountability.

     

    • Line Management:   This role will be accountable for building out UK data management capability, the role will also involve line managing a current team and continuing to build and develop the team.

     

     

    • Embedding Strategy: Alongside the global master data management strategy, this role will implement and embed the UK management strategy. This will focus on embedding & implementing data governance, data quality, data lineage, and metadata management solutions across the UK.

     

    • Project Delivery:  This role will ensure that projects are resourced with appropriate skills and capacity to perform data cleansing and/or ETL activities in line with best practice. In addition, provide resources and direction for any project that requires a new or changed data model.

    Requirements:

    ·        Experience working with senior (leadership level) stakeholders is essential.

    ·        Experienced line manager, with the ability to mentor and lead on projects.

    ·        High levels of technical credibility and independent judgment and decision-making responsibilities are essential.

    ·        Worked in a multi-project, matrix management environment is preferred.

    ·        Working within a local and global context is preferred.

    ·        Experience with SAP data models is preferred.
