Data Science Consultant – Financial Services – London £70-100k

Are you able to explain your models to non-technical stakeholders?

We’re a consultancy that provide Data Science and Machine Learning solutions to the Financial Services sector, think Investments, Wealth Management, Insurance as well as Retail Banking.

Who are we looking for?
We’ve been going for a few years and have gained the backing of a fortune 500 multinational in the process. We’ve grown our team to over a 100 and we’re looking to add a number of Mid-Senior Data Science Consultants to this.
We are London based, as are many of our clients and this role will require some attendance in office post covid.
What experience will I have?
We’re looking for hands on Data Science Consultants that have worked on project from conception through to POC, delivering to the engineering team to deploy. You’ll have had experience developing models for problems such as financial crime detection, credit rating, retention, portfolio optimization etc and will be able to work at speed and to best practices. Someone who has experience leading a team/project would be hugely welcome.
You’ll have experience with the following:
- Python for coding ML – minimum 3 years and Python ML libraries such as SKLearn, Panda, NumPy etc
- Minimum of 3 years commercial experience developing Machine Learning
- Ideally led juniors
- Developing ML models – we’d prefer a range of experience (statistical DS, Deep Learning, NLP, Bayesian Stats, Computer Vision etc) but with experience, understanding and the ability to explain the models to non-technical people.
- Client handling skills – be an excellent communicator
