    Senior Data Scientist

    Remote Role - Options to travel to Germany

    (€100,000 - €120,000) + €15,000 Bonus + Benefits


    MBN is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical based in Germany in search of a Senior Data Scientist to join their team.


    This is a great opportunity for a Senior Data Scientist to join a growing team, acting as a technical specialist as well as a mentor and manager to the junior Data Scientists in the team as well as collaborating alongside the Head of Data Science to create a robust Data Science strategy within the organization.


    The Data Science team analyzes the market to find out exactly what patients need to recommend pain treatments that improve their lives


    The role can be fully working from home-based, with some travel the German offices on a quarterly basis.





    • Build machine learning models to create a market-leading customer experience


    • Define the Data Science roadmap, enable the data strategy, and guide business direction with continued model performance analysis


    • Implement new data science methods or ways to use data to improve business understanding and help drive growth


    • Assist as a mentor and/or manager for more junior Data Scientists within the team.


    • Deliver advanced analytics to support commercial decision making


    • Evolve a toolkit with new functionalities that supports Global Business Data Teams with insights required to thrive


    • Feed the data stack with new data sources, ensuring that all data is clean, available and documented


    • Helping ensure the business data literacy levels are high




    • MSc/Ph.D. in computer science, statistics, economics, mathematics, data science, machine learning, or related technical/numerical discipline


    • Several years of experience in a senior data science role where end-to-end model design, development & testing comes with ease


    • Strong experience with ML platforms (frameworks, techniques, and libraries and strong experience working with large data sets, and building robust models with a view to scaling from the beginning


    • Experience in data management, governance & modeling lifecycles (including data quality, ingestion, loading, cleaning, and processing), seeking to improve model efficiency, performance, and scalability


    • Advanced capability in data storytelling and a strong grasp of data visualization techniques (for dashboarding, reporting, etc)


    • A keen interest in the latest Data Science research and best practice, with an entrepreneurial mindset


    • Fluently in English, another European language is beneficial, but not essential
