Data Analyst – Marketing Insights, Glasgow
£40,000 – £55,000 + Package

MBN are partnering with an iconic Scottish brand to appoint a Data Analyst to play an integral role within their consumer division. Their main product is one of Scotland’s greatest creations, a symbolic brand in its own right, and greatly admired globally. You will play a pivotal role in analysing consumer data sets spanning multiple markets, working alongside the CRM team to help steer the company wide analytics approach and creating key insights on how to best to engage with your customers though data led marketing behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the consumer data analysis strategy and approach for the product team
• Analyse large data sets and ongoing consumer behaviour to develop insights and understand which consumer attributes and brand activation most strongly link to desired behaviours
• In collaboration with CRM and Consumer Insights team, support broader marketing team in becoming more data-driven when developing marketing strategies
• Develop statistical/predictive models, including next best action, for consumers and the business
• Create clear reports and dashboards that facilitate key business decision making across the following areas:
– optimal approaches (communications, channels, experiences, propositions, contact frequency etc) to maximise consumer-focused goals of engagement, purchase, loyalty and advocacy
– opportunities and challenges in our consumer engagement
– data-led consumer insights to enrich existing personas and segments
– performance of consumer engagement and marketing effectiveness

Key Skills & Experience required:

• Experience analysing large data sets and creating interactive dashboards ideally within a customer insight, marketing, CRM or campaigns team
• Ability to interrogate and manipulate large data sets using SQL or other relational database scripting language
• Skilled in creating data visualisations/interactive dashboards using Power BI or equivalent BI technology
• Experience creating predictive/statistical models or customer segmentation models using Python, R or other statistical language. (Highly advantageous)
• The ability to work independently, leading on analytical approach and developing data led consumer engagement strategies
• Strong communicator able to influence and engage with senior stakeholders throughout the business.
