The Role:

MBN are currently partnered with one of Scotland’s most well-known organisations, as we assist with their recruitment for a Lead DevOps Engineer. This is a senior position and will hold responsibility for the technical delivery of a small team of DevOps Engineers.

My client is looking for people who have the confidence and people skills to gather and manage requirements, acting as a bridge between several applications and the platform team. The role will hold responsibility for the journey of the product throughout the development face into production.

There are a number of tight time pressures within this project, so experience working at enterprise level, on large-scale projects will be beneficial.

Their core technologies are Docker and Kubernetes, however there is a varied tech-stack; there will be a lot of building out of new components as they look to bring new services online. ELK stack experience would be a plus. Cloud experience would be beneficial but is not a key requirement for this role.

Whilst there won’t be a direct management requirement within this role, there will be the opportunity to mentor junior engineers within your team.

Experience with the following tooling/technology is required:

• Docker and Kubernetes
• Automation Experience with Puppet, Ansible
• Prometheus
• Software Development experience/knowledge particularly with Java/Javascript/Perl/Ruby/Go
• Solid Linux System Administration experience
