MBN are proud to announce that we will be hosting our next event on Thursday 17th September 2015 entitled “Gaining Insight from Data” at the IBM Client Centre, South Bank.
At this event we have Martin Squires, Head of Insight at Boots telling us how they use data to connect with their customers. In his presentation, Martin will talk about how Boots is approaching this 21st century set of problems using the latest technology.
We will also learn from David Moss, Advanced Technologies Solutions Manager at STFC (Science & Technology Facilities Council) how they contribute to UK economic impact, helping industry, academia and scientific research organisations to take advantage of advanced technologies such as High Performance Computing, Big Data, Visualisation and Cognitive Computing.
To close this event we have IBM – Who have been Wimbledon’s technology partner for 26 years, and in 2015 implemented real-time analytics to notify Wimbledon of breaking match facts and utilised analysis of social media feeds to share timely and relevant content with fans. Wimbledon uses 3.2 million data points generated in two weeks across the 19 courts to achieve its business goals. Hear how speed and accuracy of data coupled with analytics help Wimbledon maximise engagement via its digital channels.
