We caught up with Darren & Stephen after they completed The 5 Peak Challenge to find out all about there exciting and tough week.

What was your favourite part of the 5 Peak Challenge, Darren?

I had many favourite parts, all for different reasons but if I had to pick it would be in the mountains. The togetherness and comradery was sensational for a group of people who had met 3 days before but grown so close.

What was the most difficult part of the event for you?

The most difficult part of the event but also the most enjoyable was having to really accept stepping into the unknown and self-discovery.

What got you through the most difficult part of the event?

Easy, remembering the reason why I was there in the first place and thinking of the amazing people I met and had the pleasure of hearing their remarkable stories and life journeys!

What was your key take away of the week?

Not to worry as much and trust in the process of hard work! Togetherness is vital.

Going forward, how are you going to continue your new outlook upon life?

Firstly, continue to have coaches and role models in my life. Work closer with the teams in my life around me and lastly, a common theme of the event….. “Keep Smiling”.

What was your favourite part of the 5 Peak Challenge, Stephen?

I loved it all. If I was probed for one particular aspect it would be the people I met. They are all exceptional in their own unique way from Stevie & his team / The Speakers & the delegates.

What was the most difficult part of the event for you?

The 2 hour walk to and back from Ben Ime & the Cobbler. I felt like it was an eternity to get to the peaks and get back from them! This wasn’t even part of the challenge…………or was it? Ha!

What got you through the most difficult part of the event?

Has to be the people again. I already have an extremely strong mind-set but even I experienced spells of difficulty. Every delegate was different. Getting to know them in more detail took my mind off the heat spots & blisters!

What was your key take away of the week?

I got to know myself better than I ever have both mentally and physically, more so mentally. I also got to know how others see me.

Going forward, how are you going to continue your new outlook upon life?

I am going to push myself to new limitations and work outside my comfort zone in personal and professional development. I will continue to keep close relationships with the delegates who will help me achieve this due to their similar mind-set.

Well Done, Guys!
