Following the success of our fundraising appeal for Yorkhill Children’s Charity last year, MBN and Bullhorn have joined forces this year to compete in the Tough Mudder challenge on June 14th.  The team has grown from 6 individuals to 20 staff and friends of MBN and Bullhorn, all aiming to raise a total of £10,000 for local Glasgow charity The Medasi Foundation.

Every penny The Medasi Foundation raises goes directly to educational projects, benefiting some of the poorest children in Ghana.  We will be fundraising to provide scholarships to some of the poorest, yet determined, young people to attend secondary school.  These young people have excellent junior high school grades yet they are unable to access secondary school due to having no way of paying fees.  The Medasi Foundation scholarships will not only ensure these young people gain the best education possible but they will ensure they have a bed to sleep in, food to eat, clean water to drink and hope for their future and the future of their families.

The challenge is to complete a 12 mile run over 26 terrifying obstacles around Dalkieth Country Estate.

Tough Mudder events are hardcore 10-12 mile (18-20km) obstacle course challenges designed to test your all around strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie.  With the most innovative obstacles and over one million participants globally to date, Tough Mudder is the premier obstacle course series in the world.  The organisers encourage teamwork, and many obstacles are purposefully designed so as to be very difficult to complete alone.
