Glasgow-headquartered MBN, the fast-growing search and recruitment consultancy, is on track for a record year having recorded a significant increase in activity in Scotland and across the UK in 2017.

The business is forecasting an uplift of approximately 15 per cent against 2016 (year to 31st January 2017) revenues of £4.2 million.

Working across multiple industry sectors and alongside companies ranging from startups to SMEs and larger corporates, including FTSE 100 constituents, approximately 60 per cent of MBN’s revenues are now derived from activity outside Scotland. At the same time, the maturity of the Scottish data and tech scene, particularly over the last 5 years, has seen revenues grow significantly in Scotland.

The consultancy has built expertise in data science, big data, analytics and technology, illustrated this year when the recruiter placed 50 The Data Lab-funded MSc data science students from seven universities across Scotland’s commercial and public sectors at organisations including the NHS, the Scottish Government, VisitScotland, Morgan Stanley, HSBC, Aggreko, STV, Aquila Insight and snap40.
