Stay in the Data Loop

You’ll recall that at MBN Solutions we are all about data, but being good with data is nothing if we cannot be the best when it comes to your privacy and data protection…
As such, we’ve worked hard to meet the requirements of the new GDPR legislation coming in later this week. Since we haven’t heard from you in a little while, we wondered if you still want to receive our newsletter and event emails covering:

  • Our regular newsletter (typically one per month).
  • Receive updates regarding our events for subjects such as insight, analytics, data science and Blockchain.
  • Hear about our blogs and news articles (we promise to limit this to one or so a month).

Taking less than five-seconds, perhaps you could help us to ensure we are up to date on our permissions to continue contacting you by selecting one of the two buttons below.
Don’t worry though as nothing is forever!  If you change your mind you can control your preferences and change or withdraw consent at our Privacy Centre, call the office or send us an email

If you sadly decide to leave us, you could be missing out on exciting news like the below..

Goodbye (for now) to the incredible
2017/18 Data Lab MSc. cohort
Next week brings a close to The Data Lab’s MSc. Placement Programme. As delivery partners for the programme, MBN Academy have spent the last few months feverishly working with a huge number of organisations throughout Scotland to deliver work-ready Data focussed internship projects to students from a variety of University MSc. courses.

In addition to training all students in the essential “soft skills” required to navigate the employment maze upon graduation, MBN Academy has used MBN’s unrivalled network of contacts within the Scottish Technology industry to ensure our Data graduates are engaged in meaningful Data project work that will greatly enhance both their employability and the organisations with which they will work this summer.

We are delighted to announce that this year we have placed over 70 students into industry so far, greatly exceeding the number we placed last year. Academy Director Rob Huggins says “Once again, we have delivered a crucial project on behalf of The Data Lab, which we hope will continue to enhance Scotland’s position as a world-leader in the Data Science space. We are greatly honoured to be chosen as partners for this year’s Programme and we look forward to following the careers of the students we have collaborated with this year”.

MBN appoint a new Finance Administrator

Our growth over the last few years shows that a well-executed strategy requires continuous investment in people and it is this investment in our future that has supported our success.

With the ever increasing demands placed on a business growing at the rate of MBN, we are constantly seeking to identify gaps in our team and to bridge those with the very best people available to us.

MBN are proud to announce the appointment of our new Finance Administrator, Greta Pauzaite. Originally from Lithuania, Greta moved to Scotland in 2012 and is now currently studying for a BSc. Degree in Mathematics.

Greta will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping and credit control. She will closely analyse financial transactions to ensure that they comply with financial policies and procedures, in addition to providing administrative and accounting support to the Finance Director.

We are delighted to have Greta on board and wish her the very best of luck here at MBN.

DMA Creative Data Academy

On June 28th, MBN Academy will deliver, for the second year, an Employability workshop to students on DMA Scotland’s Creative Data Academy. The Creative Data Academy is an opportunity for students who have an interest in careers within Digital and Data driven Marketing roles to experience workshops and lectures and work on practical projects led by Marketing industry experts and guest speakers.

After the success of last year’s participation, Robin Huggins was delighted to be asked to return this year to collaborate with this year’s intake. Rob writes MBN Academy works with students throughout the country to inform, assist and advise on the skills that they need to transition into careers within the Data & Digital industries. DMA Talent’s Creative Data Academy is exactly the kind of forum we look to collaborate with in order to effect meaningful impact in the highlighting of the great jobs and careers available for students within the Data and Digital industries.

We are honoured to have been asked, once again, to share our unique experience of Talent Acquisition in the Data & Digital Industries and look forward to working with our DMA colleagues and the fantastic student talent who will be participating in the event'.
