#ScotChain18 Highlights

On November the 8th, we celebrated our third annual Blockchain Conference in RBS Edinburgh Gogarburn. ScotChain18 tackled challenging real issues of Blockchain innovation and how real value can be created with this transformational foundation technology.

With speakers from the UK, EU, US and Australia we had a tremendous range of views, thought leadership and networking for our audience of nearly 250. ScotChain wouldn’t be possible without the amazing support of our sponsors. We are grateful of their support and look forward to working with them again in the future.

Check out our video highlights below.

SCOTCHAIN 18 HIGHLIGHTS
CodeFirst:Girls

We made a promise that profits raised as a result of the success of ScotChain18, would be put back into the community. After all our teams hard work and dedication we asked them to decide what organisation should receive our donation.

Thus… we are delighted to announce that we have made a donation to Code First:Girls. This donation will go towards their amazing CFG 2020 campaign.

Code First: Girls works with companies and men and women directly, to help increase the number of women in technology. They run a social enterprise that helps women to overcome one of the single biggest barriers to entering the tech industry – education. They tackle this problem by offering more than 6000 woman how to code for free and to date have delivered £4.2million of free coding education.

MBN wins the ‘E2E Entrepreneur Ecosystem Supporter’ Award!

We are proud to announce that MBN Solutions won the ‘E2E Entrepreneur Ecosystem Supporter’ Award at the recent E2Exchange #ScaleUp2Success event.

E2E is a community created by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. Their mission is to be a catalyst for entrepreneurship by bringing founders together to provide access to other entrepreneurs of high growth businesses, access to finance through their investor community and access to non-exec directors for guidance and advice.

This year’s E2Exchange #ScaleUp2Success event in Glasgow saw an impressive selection of speakers who presented the awards on the night; John McGlynn, Founder of Scottish Capital, Russell Dalgleish, Founder & Managing Partner of Exolta Capital Partners, Rebecca Pick, Founder & CEO of Pick Protection, Shalini Khemka, Founder & CEO of E2E and Peter Evans, Enterprise Editor of The Sunday Times.

We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised for all we have achieved over the last few years. From building a community through our regular meetups, Events and Conferences, to supporting many other organisations as they grow their own networks – the ‘E2E Entrepreneur Ecosystem Supporter’ Award will sit proudly amongst the numerous other accolades we have received to date – and we are not planning on stopping any time soon!

MBN's Christmas Collection

This Christmas, our very own Georgia and Michael are involved again in an initiative to ensure that children living in poverty in Scotland, wake up on the 25th with a present to open.

Through generosity in previous years from our clients, candidates and friends, we have been able to donate tremendous amounts to Glasgow Women’s Aid, with any spare cash donations to Glasgow City Mission – who show care to vulnerable adults and children fighting against homelessness and poverty.

Our aim is to gather as many gift bags/boxes as possible for age ranges 0-16 years, filled with items such as toys, puzzles, toiletries, hats & scarves, pyjamas, chocolates, sweets and vouchers.

We hope that this year will be as much of a success as previous and we are calling on your kindness to donate by Friday 7th December.

Please get in touch with Georgia at georgia@mbnsolutions.com to arrange a collection, or please feel free to pop into our Glasgow office.

We really do hope that our donations will make an impact to the lives of our community. Thank you so much in advance.
